The Weeknd’s forthcoming album Beauty Behind the Madness, which will feature Lana Del Ray, Ed Sheeran and more,is less than 10 days away from it’s August 28th release date. With that in mind, Abel decided it was time to give fans another taste of what to expect on the imminent album.
The Weeknd kickstarts his new XO SoundCloud channel (which is reserved for “rarities, remixes, and other unreleased material”) in fashion by dropping two massive treats for his fans today, “Tell Your Friends” with an extended remix, which compiles verses from Kanye West, Drake, Nas. After previewing Kanye West-produced track “Tell Your Friends” last week, The Weeknd liberates the single in the form of a brand new music video, in which he buries himself alive.
Amid his performance at Las Vegas’ Drai’s nightclub this last eve, The Weeknd performed a brand new track — “Tell Your Friends” — which Travi$ Scott quickly revealed was produced by none other than Kanye West. The track is the third taste we’ve heard from the album, following his chart-topping “Can’t Feel My Face” and hard-hitting soulful banger, “The Hills“.
